Plain terms, matching how we work.
What this website is, how engagements are contracted, and the ground rules that apply to everything we publish and quote here.
Information, not advice and not an offer
Carefully prepared — but general by nature, and no substitute for a scoped project.
Content on this website describes our services in general terms. It is prepared carefully but is not legal, regulatory or technical advice for your specific product, and it does not constitute a binding offer. References to standards — for example EN or IEC norms — are summaries, not the norms themselves.
Every service runs on its own written agreement
This website never overrides your contract. Contracts are the instrument; the site is the shop window.
Every engagement — supplier assessment, managed project sourcing, failure analysis, retained technical procurement or a consolidated project — is governed by its own written agreement and the documents referenced there. Those agreements prevail over anything published here.
Indicative prices shown on this site, such as fixed-fee assessments or the free Supplier Fact Sheet, are confirmed in a written quotation before any work begins.
In writing, with the scope explicit
The quotation is where scope, fee and payment schedule become binding — nothing is charged that was not quoted.
Quotations are issued in writing, state scope, fee and payment schedule explicitly, and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. We invoice from China, in USD unless agreed otherwise; bank fees and applicable taxes are shown separately on each invoice.
The independence rules that never move
These rules are part of every quotation and every agreement — repeated here so nobody has to take our word for it.
The legal floor
Short, because the detailed allocation of risk belongs in the engagement agreement, negotiated per project.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for information on this free website is limited to intent and gross negligence. Liability for paid services is defined in the respective engagement agreement. These website terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China; the place of jurisdiction is Guangzhou, insofar as no separate agreement provides otherwise. Should individual provisions be unenforceable, the remainder remains in force.
